Wizard Of Oz

Matt and I took Lauren to go see the Wizard of Oz at the Orpheum in Memphis. We had big plans to go see the ducks at the Peabody and make it an all day affair. The day before Lauren woke up sick... very sick. So we just made the show but it was wonderful. Our little "Dorothy" had the time of her life.

Sarah 7 1/2 months

I had the beat time taking these sweet pictures of Sarah in the grass yesterday. Her sister was too busy in her Barbie Jeep.

These are little older. This is Lauren in her first dance recital. We are so proud of our ballerina.

Beach Trip!!!!

Bo and Big Daddy took us to the beach for Christmas. We arrived to a wonderful house in Destin on a Sunday around noon. An hour or two later, we realized THE AIR WASN'T WORKING!!! Long story short, we got upgraded to a HUGE mansion in Destiny by the sea!! The girls loved the beach. The memories are priceless. Thank you big Daddy and Bo for the trip of a lifetime.

Littlest Angels Choir

Lauren had her first choir program on Sunday. It was precious. She did such a good job. Sarah enjoyed it too.

Princess Tea and Snow White

Lauren and I went to the Princess tea today to meet the cast of Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs. She had the best day. It's was great having a whole day for just us. after the tea we came home for a little bit and went back to the ballet. She was so good. She whispered in my ear lots of questions. My favorite comment was "Mommy, I can see their muscles."

First Cold

After 3 hrs in the Dr. office on a Saturday with both children, Sarah has her first cold. She's being tough though. She's growing so fast. She can push up on her elbows with her head and shoulder staight up on her tummy and she is just about laughing out loud. The reflux is pretty much under control now and she is loving going to Miss Bonnie's house while I go to work.

I started back to work last week. It was hard leaving Sarah but I love my job so much. The children at Joyner are so sweet. I didn't realize how much I missed it.

Sarah couldn't ask for a better big sister. Lauren is so into doing anything she can for her little sister. We are so blessed.

The girls are both doing good. Sarah is starting to sleep through the night and she gets her shots this week.

I 'm still at home. I have 4 more weeks to be with my precious baby all day.

Here is our precious little monkey. Sorry it's taken me so long to get Sarah's picture posted. I can't believe she's already a month old.

We are all doing well. Lauren is the best big sister. She couldn't love her sister any more. Her favorite thing is to sit, talk and play with Sarah.

Were not sleeping much. Hopefully that will get better soon.

Sarah Houston Baker was born today around 5 pm. She weighs 6 lbs. and 12oz. and is 18.25 inches long. Lauren is excited to have a baby sister. Mom and baby are both doing great after a fairly easy labor and fast delivery. Thank you for all the sweet phone calls, messages and prayers. We will update soon with picture.

Update on Baby Baker

Well, after my appointment today, my doctor decided to put me in on Friday morning. Matt and I are so excited and anxious as ever. Lauren is beside herself. Can't wait to see if we are having a boy or girl. Be sure to vote.

Todd and Tara's Wedding

Joyner Shower

My friends at work gave me and Lauren the sweetest baby shower on Wednesday. I was on the verge of tears the whole time. I'm so blessed to have such thoughtful people in my life. I can't want to get the baby here and use all these precious things.

Lauren had a great halloween this year. She and Otter both dressed up as bumble bees. My pictures from Halloween night are too dark. These pictures are from our fall festival at church. She had so much fun.

Our whole family met up this past Sunday at the pumpkin patch. The kid's had such a blast. Mom nd Gary fixed us the most delicious picnic. Rhea managed to get a picture of Jessie and I with our big bellies.

Lauren's teacher emailed me these pictures this week of her helping clean up the school. The school is full of containers that the children use for all kinds of lessons.

After the 3 girls finished their task they stood back to see what they had accomplished. Lauren said, "WOW! That's like a hundred and twenty-six!"

My mom, Lauren and I went to Memphis shopping Saturday. We found a couple of things for the babies room. I can't believe how close we are getting to having another baby. After shopping, we took Lauren to Kelsey's game. Kelsey is my niece and she cheers for a "Colts" team in Collierville, TN. At the Baker house, we are big Colts fans! Lauren is on her second cheerleader outfit. Naturally, she had to wear hers to go see Kelsey. The game was delayed but Lauren didn't mind. That meant she got to play hide and seek and suck on a blowpop with Kelsey before the game started.

Here's Lauren with her first fish. We spent a relaxing afternoon at the lake with all our cousins. Lauren caught the most fish. 5 total for this natural. Ha!!

Ballet

Matt and I are expecting our second child around the first week of December. Lauren is so excited to become a big sister. We aren't going to find out if she is going to have a little sister or brother. Amazingly, She is just fine with that.
